Register Now for Robotics Camps

IUP Adult and Continuing Education is partnering with Penn State’s Electro-Optics Center to offer a Robotics Summer Camp for junior high school students entering 7th, 8th, and 9th grade in Fall 2014, and a Robotics Summer Camp for high school students entering 10th, 11th, and 12th grade in Fall 2014. Students will use LegoMindstorm Robotics Kits.

Register for Junior High School Robotics Summer Camp​

Junior high school students will learn to program the robots to move around objects and to navigate an obstacle course.

Register for High School Robotics Summer Camp​

In the advanced robotics course, high school  students will be introduced to advanced programming techniques for autonomous robots. This will include cascading switches, multiple tasks, data hubs, and dependent variables. Students will also be exposed to graphical, C#, and C++ programming languages. New automated technology, such as 3D printers, will be introduced and demonstrated throughout the week. The camp will consist of entertaining but competitive challenges to practice troubleshooting, calibration, communication, and decision making.
