Geoscience Student Wins Best Poster at Women in Mathematics, Science, and Technology Program

Geoscience students Savannah Irwin and Rebecca Smith presented posters on their undergraduate research projects at the ninth annual Women in Mathematics, Science, and Technology celebration, held on March 31 by the College of Natural Sciences and Mathematics. 

Irwin won first place in the Undergraduate Poster category for her presentation “Utility and significance of newly discovered trilobite faunas from the El Paso Group in New Mexico and west Texas.”

Smith presented her research on the impact of teaching strategies on student learning in Earth and space science education.
