Voter Registration Deadline for PA Primary Election, April 21

The deadline to register for vote for Pennsylvania’s spring Primary is Monday, April 21st.

During the Primary Election, voters will choose candidates that will appear on the fall ballot for Governor of Pennsylvania and national and statewide congressional candidates.

Candidates on the ballot include Democratic and Republican candidates for Pennsylvania Governor.

Election Day is Tuesday May 20th and individuals must vote in the precinct in which they are registered.

• If you’re already registered on campus and you plan to return in the fall: you can request an absentee ballot and vote by mail during the Primary election. That way you can vote in person during the fall General Election. The deadline to request a ballot is May 13th.

• If you’re not registered, if you’re not returning to campus in the fall, or if you’d like to re-register at a new address:  complete a voter registration form  and have it postmarked by April 21st.

Want to register in person and save postage? IUP’s ECO club is holding a non-partisan voter registration drive on April 21st. Stop by the table near the HUB Fitness Center between 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. to register or request an absentee ballot. Volunteers will be there to answer any questions you may have and submit the registration form for you.
