Candace Gingrich, IUP ’89, to speak at Lavender Graduation, April 24

Candace GingrichThe University LGBT Commission and the President’s Commission on the Status of Women are proud to host the fourth annual Lavender Graduation on April 24, 2014, at 4:30 p.m. in the PNC Room of the Kovalchick Convention and Athletic Complex.

Lavender Graduation is a celebration that recognizes IUP’s LGBTQ (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Queer) community and ally graduates.

The keynote speaker will be Candace Gingrich, IUP ’89.  She is currently the senior manager of the Human Rights Campaign’s Youth and Campus Outreach. Her autobiography, Accidental Activist: A Personal and Political Memoir, was released in 1996.  

This event is free and open to the IUP and Indiana communities.
