Notification of Aerial Survey of Campus

In the next few weeks, you may see a low-flying plane making multiple passes over campus and the surrounding area.

The plane will be performing a photogrammetric survey of the university. The survey is part of a project that is developing a new campus base map. The project work includes both a ground survey (currently in progress) and an aerial photogrammetric survey (a low-flying plane).

The aerial survey needs to be completed before leaves appear on the trees. As the aerial work is also very dependent on weather conditions and cloud cover, the exact day and timing of the flight cannot be predicted. It is expected that the flight will take place within the next three weeks when the conditions are right.

Thank you.
