April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month

April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month. Spread the word. April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month, a time to focus on a crime that affects one four women and one in six men. Every year, the Haven Project challenges our campus to fight this crime by learning more about it.

You can assist the Haven Project in our goal to raise AWAREness by:

  • Scheduling a Sexual Assault AWAREness presentation hosted by Haven Project peer educators and/or staff members
  • Requesting informational materials and/or sexual assault AWAREness posters for your office or department
  • Knowing and sharing campus/community resources for victims of violence
    • The Haven Project at the Alice Paul House (24/7 hotline) - 724-349-4444
    • The Haven Project at the Counseling Center – 724-357-2621
    • University Police – 724-357-2141
    • Title IX Coordinator 724-357-4040
  • Volunteering for the annual Take Back the Night events
