Younger Presents Fort Hyndshaw Research to Anthropology Graduate Student Colloquium

Historian Danny Younger discussed his extensive research on Fort Hyndshaw with the Graduate Colloquium on March 25, 2014.

Danny YoungerYounger has spent the past several years researching Fort Hyndshaw, a French and Indian War fort in Monroe County, Pennsylvania. This fort was ordered by Benjamin Franklin and played an important role in the history of Monroe County.

The site is now situated in the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area, but its precise location remains a mystery. Through extensive primary document research and an informed study of the landscape, Younger has narrowed the possible location of the fort to an approximately one-acre parcel. He gave an informative and entertaining presentation.
