Next week is one of the most exciting weeks of the academic year. It is Research Week at IUP, and we celebrate scholarship across disciplines with the annual Undergraduate and Graduate Scholars Forums!

This year’s Undergraduate Scholars Forum will include 102 poster presentations, 70 oral paper presentations, 7 business case studies, 2 performances, and 13 art exhibits. There are 276 students presenting sponsored by 80 different faculty members.

This year’s Graduate Scholars Forum will involve 59 poster presentations, 18 oral paper presentations, and 11 art exhibits. There are 99 graduate student presenters sponsored by 49 different faculty members.

Schedule of Activities

Undergraduate Scholars Forum – Tuesday, April 1 - HUB

  • 7:00 a.m. — Registration begins
  • 8:00–9:20 a.m. — Oral presentation concurrent sessions
  • 8:00-10:50 a.m. — Business Case Competition
  • 9:30–10:50 a.m. — Oral presentation concurrent sessions
  • 11:00 a.m.–12:20 p.m. — Oral presentation concurrent sessions
  • 12:00–4:00 p.m. — Juried Undergraduate Art Exhibit in Kipp Gallery (Sprowls Hall) (runs M-F 12:00–4:00 p.m. April 1 through April 18)
  • 12:30–1:45 p.m. — Poster presentations - Presenters available to discuss their work
  • 2:00–3:20 p.m. — Oral presentation concurrent sessions

Graduate Scholars Forum – Wednesday, April 2 - HUB

  • 9:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m. — Poster sessions with presenters available to discuss their work
  • 9:00–10:20 a.m. — Oral presentation concurrent sessions
  • 10:30 a.m.–12:00 p.m. — Oral presentation concurrent sessions
  • 12:00–4:00 p.m. — Juried Graduate Art Exhibit in Kipp Gallery (Sprowls Hall) (runs M-F 12:00–4:00 p.m. April 1 through April 18)

Awards Ceremonies – Wednesday, April 2 

  • 1:30–2:30 p.m. — USF/GSF Combined Awards Ceremony(Ohio Room, HUB)
  • 5:00–7:00 p.m. — Art Exhibit Opening Reception and Awards Ceremony (Kipp Gallery, Sprowls Hall)
