Anthropologist Ford Selected as Archaeological Institute of America Lecturer

Ben Ford was recently selected to be the Archaeological Institute of America McCann-Taggart Underwater Archaeology Lecturer for 2014–2015.

This lectureship was endowed in 1985 by Ann Marguerite McCann and Robert D. Taggert to support lectures on underwater archaeology topics. Selection for this position is based on an anonymous recommendation and deliberation by the AIA Lecture Program Committee. The lectureship involves three to five talks throughout the United States and Canada to Archaeological Institute of America Societies that request a lecture on underwater archaeology. The Institute’s membership includes both professional archaeologists and the interested public.
