Register for Community University Studies Courses: Basic Excel, and PA Coal Miners and Operators

Are you looking to further your understanding of Microsoft Excel? Do you have an interest in investigating the history of Pennsylvania’s coal fields in the post-World War I era? These noncredit classes are being offered through Community University Studies.

In “Getting the Most from Microsoft Excel: The Basics,” students will learn to create, edit, format, and save spreadsheets. The course meets from 6:00–8:00 p.m. on three Wednesdays and is offered in two locations: February 26, March 5, and March 12 in Indiana; and March 26, April 2, and April 9 in Punxsutawney. Register online for either location.

Explore the history of Pennsylvania’s mining industry after World War I in “The Struggle for an American Way of Life: Coal Miners and Operators in Central/Western PA from 1919 to 1933, Part 2.”  The course meets from 9:30–10:30 a.m. on February 28, March 7, 14, and 28, at St. Andrew’s Village, Bristol Court Dining Room.
