February is American Heart Health Month

Student health needs in one convenient location: the Center for Health and Well-BeingAccording to the Centers for Disease Control, heart disease is the leading cause of death for both men and women. You can help prevent heart disease by making healthy lifestyle choices and managing any medical conditions you may have.

The CDC recommends that you: 

  • Eat a healthy diet
  • Maintain a healthy weight
  • Exercise regularly
  • Don’t smoke
  • Limit alcohol use
  • Prevent or treat your medical conditions

The Center for Health and Well-Being (CHWB) offers a range of services that address the components of total well-being—physical, mental, and emotional—in one convenient location. Most services provided at the CHWB are funded by students’ wellness fees.

Stop by the Health Hut Giveaway Table, located in the main lobby of the CHWB, for free heart health resources and buttons. Show your support of American Heart Health month by picking up a free Heart Health Postcard at the giveaway table to send to a loved one.
