Pittsburgh Pops: A Broadway Valentine

Celebrate Valentine’s Day with the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra Pops! Special guest singers Christiane Noll and Hugh Panaro will join in to serenade you with popular love songs from Broadway and beyond.

The Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra has announced the line-up for A Broadway Valentine concert, presented on Friday, February 14, 2014. The concert is part of the Lively Arts’ Ovations! series and will be performed in Fisher Auditorium starting at 8:00 p.m. Tickets are on sale now.

The concert will featuring two Broadway veterans, Christiane Noll and Hugh Panaro. Noll most recently was seen as Sister Margaretta in the NBC live broadcast of The Sound of Music and on Broadway recreating the role of the Mother in Ragtime. Panaro, in addition to film and other Broadway credits, is currently performing the title role on Broadway in The Phantom of the Opera.

The concert will be filled with a variety of stage and film hits, including excerpts from Star Wars and others by the orchestra, a medley from Mama Mia, and a finale that celebrates Andrew Lloyd Webber’s The Phantom of the Opera.

The concert will be conducted by Haimor Fawzi, PSO assistant conductor.
