Attention International IUP Travelers

The Health Service at the Center for Health and Well-Being is providing information about MERS (Middle Eastern Respiratory Syndrome) for anyone who has recently traveled outside of the United States.

In 2012, MERS was first reported in Saudi Arabia. This is a viral infection that has caused severe illness in most of the infected people. Over half of the people who were infected have died. MERS has not been reported in the United States.
