Please mark your calendars for the following exciting opportunities to talk about the teaching of writing in the Spring 2014 semester:

WAC Interdisciplinary Teaching Circle

In these sessions, we do an assignment exchange; one member of the group brings a writing assignment and some student responses for discussion:

  • Feb 5, 2:30–3:20 p.m.
  • Feb 25, 12:30–1:20 p.m.

WAC Workshop: Introduction to Writing To Learn

HUB Conemaugh Room

In this workshop, we'll talk about how to implement basic writing-to-learn pedagogies into any classroom.

  • Feb 4, 11:00–11:50 a.m. or Feb 5, 9:05–9:55 a.m.

WAC Workshop: Approaching Plagiarism Positively

HUB Conemaugh Room

In this workshop, we'll talk about how to motivate students not to plagiarize using positive (rather than punitive) means.

  • March 11, 9:30–10:25 a.m. or March 12, 1:25–2:15 p.m.
