World AIDS Day Acknowledged on December 1

World AIDS Day is on December 1On December 1, 2013 people around the world will acknowledge World AIDS Day. We have the opportunity to unite with others around the world in the fight against HIV and AIDS.  This is a day to offer support for those living with the disease, education for those trying to prevent transmission of the disease and remembrance for those who have lost their battle to HIV and/or AIDS. 

You can acknowledge World AIDS Day by:

  • Wearing red on December 1
  • Wearing a red ribbon during the month of December
  • Posting information on your social media accounts
  • Getting tested for HIV
  • Encouraging your friends, family, and loved ones to get tested for HIV
