Office of Service Learning Needs Treasures for Children Volunteers

The Office of Service Learning is in need of volunteers for the 2013 Treasures for Children drive.

Treasures for Children is a program held around the holiday season each year by the Salvation Army. The goal of this drive is to provide gifts for more than 2,000 children, elderly, and physically/mentally challenged people in the Indiana area.

Volunteers are needed to hand out flyers to students walking through the HUB, as well as receiving donations. Volunteers will also be responsible for keeping track of tags signed out during their shifts. Volunteers are needed the week before Thanksgiving break, November 18–22, and the week after break, December 2–4, 2013.

During the week after break, the office is in need of extra volunteers for both the Treasures for Children drive as well as a separate clothing drive that will also be happening. Volunteers will be needed from 11:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m.

If you are able to help out for any amount of time, please contact Kathleen Lackey at RGFT@iup.edu specifying what day(s) and times you can be a volunteer, or just stop by our office in 301 Pratt Hall.
