COABE Conference 2014 Held in Pittsburgh

COABE logoCOABE (Commission on Adult Basic Education) will hold its annual conference in Pittsburgh, Pa., on Sunday, March 16 through Wednesday, March 19, 2014.

COABE is an organization that strives to advance national and international adult education and literacy opportunities for all persons. General purposes of COABE are:

  • To promote adult education and literacy programs
  • To provide leadership in advancing the education of adults in the lifelong learning process
  • To advocate the development and dissemination of publications
  • To conduct and/or sponsor professional development conferences and activities that provide a forum to provide staff development and advance adult education and literacy

This conference will be held in conjunction with the PAACE conference (Pennsylvania Association for Adult and Continuing Education), so if you’re studying in the field of education, or if you just have a general interest in adult education, be sure to attend this year’s conference, conveniently located in Pittsburgh next year!
