Sherwood's workshop—along with others offered by nationally noted scholars in the digital humanities, including Jerome McGann, Lori Emerson, and Tanya Clements—“engaged scholars and poets alongside digital archivists from UC Libraries—faculty and students representing quite distinct areas of expertise—to innovative collaboratively while exploring and developing new skills.”

The Ellison Poetry Archive collection includes the digitized lectures and public readings of visiting poets since 1955, including Robert Frost, Seamus Heaney, Robert Duncan, and others. This collection is made available to the public for educational uses.
