W2 Election for 2013: Must Re-enroll

Employees have the option to receive their 2013 W2 electronically or via paper form. To receive your W2 electronically, you must enroll via ESS. The enrollment can be found on the ESS portal under Employee Self Service – Payroll – Update W2 Election.

Employees will be required to attest that they have read the disclosure notice and agree to electronic delivery and will then be allowed to continue with enrollment. Once an employee has completed enrollment, ESS will show their status on the W2 election page. (Please note: If you enrolled in 2012, the IRS requires everyone to re-enroll for 2013.)

An employee may change their enrollment choice at any time up to and including December 27, 2013. After that time, employees will no longer be able to enroll for electronic distribution. Also after that time, employees who have elected electronic distribution and wish to change to paper will need to submit a paper form to the Payroll Services Office to change their enrollment choice. This form can be found at Withdrawal of Consent to Electronic W-2.
