Geoscience’s Lewis to Serve as Sub-Seafloor Science Instructor on U.S. Ocean Drilling Research Vessel

Jon Lewis will set sail for the Juan de Fuca oceanic rift off the coast of Victoria, B.C., on May 16, 2013, aboard the JOIDES/Resolution with a cohort of educators attending the School of Rock. Lewis will be teaching other teachers about sub-seafloor science with an emphasis on faulting and great earthquakes.

School of Rock, operated by the Consortium for Ocean Leadership, provides extraordinary opportunities for educators to experience deep sea drilling research firsthand.
