Runge Discusses Response to Instruction and Intervention Model

Timothy Runge, assistant professor in the Educational and School Psychology Department, presented a session entitled “Response to Instruction and Intervention and Gifted Education” at the 2013 annual Pennsylvania Association for Gifted Education conference, held on April 17 at Robert Morris University, Pittsburgh, Pa.

Runge provided an overview of the Response to Instruction and Intervention (RtII) model and discussed issues pertinent to gifted education including assessment, eligibility determination, instructional delivery models, and integration with Gifted Individualized Education Plans.
