Filmmaker to Show and Discuss Documentary on Zimbabwe, April 18

Australian filmmaker Wendy Dent will show the 30-minute documentary film No News from Harare, which she made on location in Zimbabwe to highlight the country’s current political, economic, and social situation. The presentation will take place Thursday, April 18, 2013, from 5:00–6:45 p.m. in Weyandt Hall, Room 208.

This event is free and open to the public. Attendance vouchers will be provided. This is a Diversity Counts event.

Dent was recently selected by the World Economic Forum as a Young Global Leader for 2013. As such, she is one of 199 leaders from 70 countries recognized for their work and charged with creating “a community of insight and action that is committed to improving the state of the world.” Read more about the Young Global Leaders.
