David Downing, director of graduate studies in Literature and Criticism, wrote the MLA’s online Toolkit on Academic Freedom, which was recently approved by the Executive Council of the MLA.
Downing is a member of the MLA Committee on Academic Freedom and Professional Rights and Responsibilities.
