The Discovery Club will host a one day, self guided bus trip to Washington D.C. on Saturday, April 13.
This trip is open to all students, you do not have to be a club member. Activities include the National Cherry Blossom Festival including a parade and street festival. Also, see or visit on your own: Smithsonian Museums ( Air and space, American History, etc.), Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial, National Archives (Constitution, Declaration of Independence), Arlington National Cemetery, Capital Building, War Memorials, and so much more. All are free to see.
The bus will leave IUP at 5:30 a.m., will leave D.C. at 7:45 p.m. and return back to IUP after midnight. The cost is $42, please bring the exact amount in cash. Also, bring I-card and contact information. The cost only covers transportation to and from D.C. and a map. After March 27, cost is $45 if seats still available. Get tickets on Tuesdays from 4:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. in Keith Hall Room 136, other times by appointment. Space is limited and all sales are final.
