Free Planetarium Show About Distant Planets, February 18

Ken Coles, Geoscience Department, will present the newest installment in his Planetarium Series on February 18, 2013, at 7:00 p.m. in the Weyandt Hall Planetarium.

The topic will be “Planets Way Out There,” talking about the several hundred planets that are now known to orbit other stars. How are they detected? What are they like, and are any like Earth?

Following the show, weather permitting, there will be a telescope set up outside to look at the current stars and planets in the sky. Doors open at 6:45 p.m.

Seating is first-come, first-seated; it is not feasible for us to take advanced reservations. If you want to bring a large group [i.e., 10 or more people], do contact us so we can discuss how to accommodate you, as seating is limited.
