Spring Noncredit Enrichment Courses Offered by Community University Studies

Enrich your life, starting now! Feel better through yoga, explore the world of art, learn a new lanaguage, or go on a ghost hunting investigation through Community University Studies noncredit classes this spring. Registration is now open.

Our classes are open to people of all ages, and take place at the Indiana and Northpointe campuses. There are no exams or grades, and courses are led by instructors who enjoy sharing their expertise with people from all backgrounds.

  • Ghost Hunting for Beginners offers a three-hour workshop on ghost investigation, with protocols, advice, and instruction on using equipment. In addition, some of the theory and speculation behind ghost lore and behavior will be discussed. Instructor Laurel Black is an experienced ghost investigator and has taught at the college level for about 20 years.
  • Basic Italian I, offered at Northpointe, engages students with an introduction to the Italian language. Students will experience Italian for the first time and will enjoy learning word-by-word in a dynamic way. Instructor Nicoletta Ebig is a native Italian who has lived in the United States since 1997. Her lessons are always fun, lively, and entertaining. She loves to share her enthusiasm for this beautiful language!
  • Abstract Acrylic Art, Drawing Fundamentals, Conversational Spanish, and Yoga offer more ways to enrich your life, starting this spring.

Community University Studies is a program of Adult and Continuing Education at IUP.
