President Obama has issued a proclamation as a mark of respect for the memory and longstanding service of Senator Daniel K. Inouye, president pro tempore of the U.S. Senate. Inouye passed away on December 17, 2012.
Flags are to be lowered to half-staff immediately and shall remain at half-staff until sunset on the day of his interment.
