IUP ArtsPath Benefits from Pennsylvania American Water Gift through EITC Program

A gift made through the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania’s Educational Improvement Tax Credit Program will benefit local school students.

Pennsylvania American Water Makes Gift to ArtsPath at IUPPennsylvania American Water has given $2,500 to ArtsPath, an educational initiative operated by Indiana University of Pennsylvania’s Lively Arts program. The Educational Improvement Tax Credit Program, administered by the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development, enables businesses to make charitable donations to educational efforts and receive tax credit.

Pennsylvania American Water made the gift through the EITC program to the Foundation for IUP, which serves as the repository for all private financial support of IUP and its initiatives, including ArtsPath and the Lively Arts.

IUP’s ArtsPath program served more than 7,000 elementary and secondary students in five western Pennsylvania counties last year. The program places high-quality, professionally active visual, performing, media, and literary artists in educational settings for extended, in-depth residency activities.
