Gloria Park, assistant professor of English and director of the Master of Arts in TESOL program, has been appointed for a second year to serve on the Fulbright National Screening Committee to screen applications for the Fulbright English Teaching Assistants (ETA) for Malaysia.
The Fulbright ETAs are sponsored by the U.S. Department of State via the Institute of International Education’s (IIE) annual scholarship competitions to teach, conduct research, and study all over the world.
Park, as an English Language Teaching (ELT) and Teaching English (TE) specialist, was invited initially in 2012.
The IIE invites area specialists and authorities in ELT and TE to review over 70 teaching assistant applications and nominate candidates to the award sponsors.
