The English Graduate Organization will sponsor Stache Bash registrations on Thursday, November 15, from noon until 5:00 p.m. at the front table at the Library.
Stache Bash is a Red Cross Fundraiser hosted by the English Graduate Organization. Do you have a great goatee? Are you friends with a fantastic Fu Manchu? Do you hang out with a handsome handlebar? Join Stache Bash by registering for epic facial hair for a $2 fee (donation to Red Cross). You (or your nominated candidate) then have two weeks to make the registered beard, mustache, mutton chops, etc., as epic as possible.
Next, email a decent quality photo of the competing chin quaff to Julia (j.a.grove2@iup.edu) no later than Monday, November 26. Then the competition will begin.
Photos of each contestant will be displayed on containers in the Library on Thursday, November 29, and Friday, November 30, from noon until 5:00 p.m., and people will vote for their favorite facial hair by placing donations in their respective containers. After two days, the person whose container has the most money wins. The prizes include epic bragging rights and the prestigious “Majestic Mustache” wall plaque.
*Note: The contest depends on the photo, so feel free to temporarily embellish, style, bejewel, etc., your facial hair in any attention-grabbing manner. Also, women are by no means excluded and can craft and compete with faux facial hair.
