Planetarium Series Continues with a Look at Mars

The next planetarium show of the Fall semester, “Curiosity on Mars,” will take place November 1, 2012, at 7:00 p.m. The planetarium is located on the east side of Weyandt Hall, and the show is free and open to the public.

Ken Coles, Geoscience faculty member and planetarium director, will present the program.

“Curiosity on Mars” will celebrate the successful Mars landing of the science lab Curiosity. Coles will discuss recent findings from Mars, known as the Red Planet, and other NASA missions.

If weather permits, telescopes will be set up outside the planetarium after the presentation.

The planetarium series is sponsored by the Department of Geoscience and College of Natural Sciences and Mathematics.
