Members of SAND, the Student Association of Nutrition and Dietetics, participated in the Grocers Fight Cancer event on October 4, 2012, at the Giant Eagle in Indiana.
This is an annual event held by Giant Eagle where 5 percent of the day’s sales are donated to the American Cancer Society to help them in their efforts to “bag” cancer for good!
SAND members prepared and passed out healthy snacks to shoppers. They also provided tips on healthy snacking ideas and recipes.
