Lydia Rodríguez, Department of Foreign Languages, presented a paper entitled “Empowerment of Women in Cristina García’s Dreaming in Cuban” in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
The paper was presented at the 94th annual American Association of Teachers of Spanish and Portuguese conference in San Juan, Puerto Rico, in July 2012.
The study examines the role of women in the novel and how they recreate history from a female point of view.
