Banned Books Week 2012 "Celebrate the Freedom to Read"In collaboration with the IUP Libraries, five students from Tanya Heflin’s English 340 Novel class will commemorate the 30th anniversary of Banned Books Week with readings from banned and challenged books. The Read Out takes place on Wednesday, October 10, 2012, from 1:00–2:00 p.m. inside Stapleton Library across from Java City.

Read Out celebrates the freedom to read and brings awareness to ongoing issues of literary censorship. Students, staff, and faculty are encouraged to attend, listen to passages, and/or read passages themselves. Student-selected passages will be prepared for anyone interested in reading.
