Officers of Eberly’s 15 student organizations participated in the third annual College of Business Student Advisory Council’s (COBSAC) leadership retreat on September 15, 2012.
The retreat, held at Blue Spruce Park, featured two speakers from the IUP Management Department, Joette Wisnieski and Jennifer Jones. They spoke about the management of limited resources and where experiences will lead in the future, as well as the sharing of resources and thoughtfulness in the business world. The event is designed to develop professional leadership skills through activities.
“The COBSAC retreat enabled me to connect with the leaders of Eberly’s other student organizations, as well as learn more effectual leadership techniques,” said student Grey Berrier. “I had a great time being able to learn from others and determine better ways to lead.”
About 25 students attended the retreat and participated in leadership activities such as the human knot game.
