Lydia Rodríguez from the Department of Foreign Languages published an article entitled “A Recipe on Teaching Hispanic Literature to Undergraduate Students in the United States.”

The article appears in the Journal of International Studies on Law and Education. The article addresses the need to bridge the gap between the intermediate to advanced second language learners. The approach and the activities are crucial when teaching Hispanic literary readings in the target language. There exists a need to develop communication, cultural awareness, connections, comparisons, and a sense of community for the second language learner to feel successful in reading the authentic texts.
