Senior Class Gift: Not Too Late to Take Campaign to Success

Graduating seniors still have time to contribute to the Senior Class Gift, which will be presented to the university at the May 12 commencement ceremony.

To date, the gift campaign is 40 percent to goal and has raised roughly $2,800 so far. A portion of the campaign's proceeds will be used toward the Outdoor Learning Center in the College of Education, the Sutton Scholarship (formerly called Academic Achievement Scholarship), and a variety of other causes students who have given to the campaign so far have designated.

Zachary Stayman, the campaign's chairperson and a Political Science major, will present the Senior Class Gift to the university during the afternoon commencement ceremony, while Brianna Harris, a member of the Senior Class Gift committee and a Fashion Merchandising major, will present it at the morning ceremony.

Any gift amount is welcome, but a gift of $20.12 or more will qualify graduates to wear philanthorpy cords, a crimson and gray rope adornment to be worn with the cap and gown.

Seniors are invited to give now. For information, contact the Office of Annual Giving at 724-357-5555.
