Arden Hamer, Department of Developmental Studies, and Jane McGrath, emeriti professor Paradise Valley Community College, have published an article, “On-screen vs. On-paper Reading: Students’ Strategy, Usage, and Preferences,” in the fall 2011 edition of the NADE Digest.
In their research, they surveyed more than 230 successful upper-class students at IUP regarding the strategies they used when reading academic material on screen and on paper, as well as their preferences for material delivery.
