Alida Merlo and Bitna Kim, Department of Criminology, shared the 2012 Minority Mentorship Award from the Academy of Criminal Justice Sciences, which was presented at the annual ACJS meeting in New York City in March 2012.
The ACJS Minority Mentorship Grant Award was created in order to provide opportunities for mentorship of minority doctoral students or junior faculty by senior criminal justice professors at the same or another institution within the ACJS organization.
