Results of the IUP Energy Team's third round of water-quality sampling of Beaver Run Reservoir are reported in a March 11, 2012, article in the Pittsburgh Tribune Review: "Gas Drilling Isn't Harming Reservoir Water, IUP Tests Show."
The water testing is part of a fee-for-service project the team is conducting for the Municipal Authority of the Westmoreland County Board of Directors to determine whether Marcellus shale gas drilling near the reservoir is affecting water quality.
