Graduate Student Weiss Receives Research Grant

Christopher Weiss, graduate student in the Student Affairs in Higher Education program, was awarded a research grant from the School of Graduate Studies and Research to support his thesis research.

Weiss was awarded the School of Graduate Studies and Research graduate student research grant earlier month. Weiss has just completed collecting data for thesis research on the correlation between undergraduate college students’ Facebook use and cocurricular involvement.

The graduate student research grant is a competitive grant that requires students to demonstrate excellent academic scholarship that is likely to contribute new insights in their chosen academic field. Weiss will use these funds to pay for the license for one of the survey instruments used in his data collection for his thesis.
