Katie Farnsworth, Department of Geosciences, is cochairing a session entitled “Coastal Connections: Advances in the Understanding of the Interaction of Fluvial and Marine Systems” at the 2012 International Ocean Sciences Meeting in Salt Lake City, February 20–24.
The session has over 40 presenters from around the world discussing their ongoing research investigating the interactions between freshwater river systems and the saltwater ocean discharge into.
The Ocean Sciences meeting, with more than 4,000 attendees, is held every two years and is a joint meeting of the Oceanography Society, the American Society of Limnology and Oceanography, and the American Geophysical Union.
