Dougherty to Discuss Indiana's Place in Appalachia on “Hometown Magazine” Radio Program, February 20

Sociology professor Jim Dougherty will discuss Indiana's place in northern Appalachia on Hometown Magazine, WCCS 1160 AM, on Monday, February 20, 2012.

The program airs from 8:00 to 9:00 a.m. and is hosted by Nick Ruffner '06.

Dougherty is director of IUP's Center for Northern Appalachian Studies. His appearance is in advance of his lecture, "You Are Living in Appalachia,"scheduled for 6:00 p.m. on February 20 as part of the Six O'Clock Series.

Doughtery will also discuss the 35th annual Appalachian Studies Conference, to be hosted by IUP on March 23–25.

Hometown Magazine is produced by Renda Broadcasting.
