John Wesley Lowery, associate professor in the Student Affairs in Higher Education Department, made several presentations at the Association for Student Conduct Administration’s annual conference, February 1–4, 2012.
Lowery’s featured presentation, which reviewed the legislative and regulatory developments of the previous year impacting student conduct administration in higher education, has become a tradition at the conference over the past decade. Lowery has presented a legislative update at the conference since 1999.
Lowery also presented on a current research project which examines student attitudes regarding the effectiveness of sanctions for alcohol violations with Don Gehring and Carolyn Palmer. Their presentation was entitled “Doing What Matters In Alcohol Sanctioning: Research on What Students Think.”
