On January 8–10, 2012, Victor Garcia, director of the Mid-Atlantic Addiction Research and Training Institute, served as a reviewer on the Cultural Anthropology and Linguistics Panel for the NSF Graduate Research Fellowship Program, National Science Foundation, held in Washington, D.C.
