Sociology professor Christian Vaccaro is the lead author of the article “Managing Emotional Manhood: Fighting and Fostering Fear in Mixed Martial Arts,” published in the December 2011 issue of Social Psychology Quarterly.
Vaccaro and his coauthors discuss their research on how men practicing mixed martial arts manage their fear and emotions to portray confidence.
