Dr. Marveta Ryan-Sams of the Department of Foreign Languages presented a paper titled “Poeticizing Injustice: Poems from Cuba’s Black Press (1882-1888).”
The presentation was made at the sixth conference of the Association for the Study of the Worldwide African Diaspora, held in Pittsburgh in early November 2011.
