Steve Hovan selected as University Professor

Steve Hovan is serving as IUP's 2007 University Professor. This honor is given to one faculty member who demonstrates the most outstanding record of teaching, research, and service.

“Teaching, learning, and scholarship represent the heart and soul of the university's mission," IUP President Tony Atwater said when he presented Steve with this award in June 2007. "Our faculty members reflect the very best of the teacher-scholar model, and it is most appropriate to honor the "best of the best" with this prestigious honor, which represents extraordinary instructional and intellectual success."
