Dr. John Wesley Lowery, associate professor in Student Affairs in Higher Education, was a keynote speaker at the annual conference of the College Student Personnel Association of New York State in Corning, New York, on Monday, October 24, 2011.
Dr. Lowery offered a legal and legislative update in his keynote address which focused on recent court decisions and the First Amendment, the April 4 Dear Colleague Letter from the Office for Civil Rights, and the Campus SaVE Act which is currently pending in Congress.
