Marjorie Zambrano-Paff presented a paper at the Fourth International Colloquium of EDICE (Estudios sobre el Discurso de la Cortesía en Español) (Studies on (Im)Politeness in Spanish Discourse), held in Rome.
The subject of her paper was the use of (im)politeness by bilingual interpreters in immigration hearings and the pragmatic effect on the hearer.
